The Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) is seeking a system integrator for implementation of an SAP Advanced Metering Infrastructure Meter Data Unification and Synchronization system (AMI MDUS).
SMUD says it completed a smart meter project in 2013 after installing 620,000 meters.
"The Itron IEE system captures interval and register read data from all of our smart meters and provides billing determinants to the SAP billing system," SMUD says in the bid document.
The bid opportunity will complete implementation of MDUS for residential billing.
An online pre-bid conference is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 16.
