The California 9-1-1 Advisory Board will hold a public meeting on Thursday, Aug. 13, from 9 a.m. to noon in the Sacramento City Council Chambers at 915 I Street.

The state 9-1-1 Advisory Board advises the California 9-1-1 Emergency Communications Branch on policies, practices and procedures; technical and operational standards for the California 911 system consistent with the National Emergency Number Association (NENA) standards; expediting the rollout of next-gen 911, and more.
Thursday’s agenda includes discussion about the accuracy of wireless and tests that are underway.
The advisory board is composed of members appointed by the governor.
