CalPERS has bids in the works for disaster recovery, a legacy system replacement and the organization’s data warehouse, CIO Liana Bailey-Crimmins told Techleader.tv on Tuesday.
- She said CalPERS plans to releases a bid sometime in the next two weeks for a disaster recovery and backup recovery vendor. The incumbent is EMC/SunGard. This time CalPERS is looking for more of a cloud-based solution, Bailey-Crimmins said.
- Bailey-Crimmins said CalPERS will be replacing a legacy system in its Actuarial Office, and she said multiple procurements related to the project will be coming out in the next few months, if not sooner.
- CalPERS also is doing a technical assessment of its data warehouse. It potentially could lead to an RFP for additional IT services. A bid or bids could be released in the first quarter of 2016, Bailey-Crimmins said.
