In a simplified RFP document, Alameda County has requested vendor proposals for software developers to design mobile-capable software applications for mental health support.
The software will be developed and piloted in an effort to fully integrate health-care services by improving communication, engagement and care coordination for specific populations by their service providers. The programs will focus on youth, transitional youth and adults, as well as patients' families, including those underserved “due to language and cultural barriers.”
The contracts will be established with teams that include at least one behavioral health provider and one software developer. The county plans to award up to 22 contracts for 18 months each, for a total of $3 million across all the contracts. The contracts can run concurrently.
Responses are due Nov. 3.
