The CalJobs website, a portal for Californians seeking employment, is back online after the company that hosts the site suffered a nationwide outage.
The site, which also serves companies seeking personnel, went down June 27 and remained out of service until July 12, according to a news release from the state Employment Development Department (EDD).
The outage by Geographic Solutions Inc. (GSI), the site’s vendor, affected multiple states that contract for its services.
EDD’s statement said Californians who tried to file a claim between June 27 and July 12 are exempt from registering and posting a resume during that period.
“We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused,” EDD said.
