CalSAWS Updates RFP, Extends Deadline for Vendor Questions

An update issued Friday by CalSAWS notes that in addition to the addendum to the original RFP, the question period for vendors has been extended from its original June 18 deadline to June 25. CalSAWS held the bidders’ conference last week.

The California Statewide Automated Welfare System (CalSAWS) has issued an addendum and an update to its large request for proposals for the maintenance and operation of the BenefitsCal application.

The BenefitsCal application is the state’s “one-stop shop” to apply for CalFresh, CalWORKs, Medi-Cal and the County Medical Services Program (CMSP), as well as general assistance and relief benefits.

“The purpose of this procurement, and scope of this RFP, is to acquire a contractor to transition the existing BenefitsCal application and provide ongoing BenefitsCal maintenance and operations (M&O) and related goods and services,” the RFP reads.

All documents related to the procurement can be found online.

CalSAWS announced in February that it intends to award contracts to Gainwell Technologies and Deloitte; the former would handle infrastructure services, and the latter would handle maintenance and enhancements.
