After a thirty-year career in state service, Caltrans Chief Information Officer Ann Barsotti will retire at the end of the month, according to department spokesman Matt Rocco.
Barsotti has served in her current position since being appointed by the governor in 2005. She has been responsible for the department’s IT and administrative functions, including overseeing 22,700 employees, according to the Caltrans website.
Well known in the state IT community, Barsotti served as CIO for the Department of Motor Vehicles for 5 years as well as acting director of Teale Data Center for 1 year, among other positions.
