Caltrans Seeks Chief for Business/Performance Project

The California Transportation Department is advertising for a chief to oversee its IT Project and Business Management Division.

The California Transportation Department is seeking a new chief of its IT Project and Business Management Division (PBMD). 

The project chief “is responsible for developing and implementing policies for the (PBMD),” says the posting.

The position reports to Caltrans Deputy Director/CIO George Akiyama

The new project chief will also serve as a “portfolio manager” for Caltrans’ most mission-critical and highly complex IT projects. The person will be responsible for IT Business Management, Performance Metrics and Analysis to implement better business decisions regarding IT resource investments and allocation. “Applicants must demonstrate the ability to perform high administrative and policy – influencing functions effectively,” the posting says.

The position is considered a Career Executive Assignment, and it has a salary range of $9,625 to $11,465 per month.
