The California Department of Technology’s (CDT) Office of Statewide Technology Procurement has issued an invitation for bid (IFB) for wireless mobility services within the California Network and Telecommunications (CALNET) program.
Those service categories include: cellular business voice and data, CALNET first responder cellular, satellite mobility voice and data, Geostationary Earth Orbit satellite data network, Low Earth Orbit satellite broadband Internet and fixed wireless access services.
According to the solicitation, the state intends to award contracts to multiple bidders within these specialty categories.
The CALNET program “focuses on providing services that meet the state’s complex and critical telecommunications and network business needs. In 2019, contracts for CALNET 4 were awarded and have been used to provide telecommunications and network services to the state,” the IFB reads.
The final day to submit questions for IFB C5WMS25 is July 14. Final bids are due no later than 12 p.m., Aug. 25. The point of contact for this solicitation is Robert DeLeonardis.
