CDT to Host Vendor Forum on GenAI Procurement

The event will cover the state’s generative AI procurement guidelines and offer vendors an opportunity to ask the burning questions they have about the new process.

The California Department of Technology (CDT) is set to host a vendor forum next week about its generative AI (GenAI) procurement guidelines.

The online session is meant to better prepare the vendor community for the state’s GenAI guidelines and how CDT will address risk assessment and consultation, according to the event invitation. The session will also include an overview of the vendor disclosure form and an opportunity to ask questions about the process.

Six speakers will present on the topic. They include CDT’s Deputy Director of Statewide Technology Procurement Tiffany Angulo; Chief Enterprise Architect Renoir Pope; Chief Technology Officer Jonathan Porat; Chief Digital Strategy Officer Ivy Lei; Cybersecurity Risk and Governance Chief Payam Hojjat; and Department of General Services Procurement Division Deputy Director Angela Shell.

The session will run from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. June 25. Interested vendors, industry partners and state IT staff can register for the event here.
