“As CIO, the position has direct authority (or full management authority) over information technology operations and project activities,” says the job description in the posting. “The CIO is responsible for the establishment and execution of the DFEH IT infrastructure, Strategic Information Systems Plan, and has the authority over the technology and project management methodologies that guide the development and implementation of all technology components and IT projects that support the Department’s business objectives.”
