City Seeking Bids for Hardware, Software, Services

A Southern California city is embarking on an ambitious IT agenda, seeking millions of dollars in hardware, software and services.

The city of Pasadena has an ambitious IT agenda, seeking millions of dollars in IT-related goods and services. 

According to the city's approved budget, $18.8 million has been appropriated through the end of the current fiscal year. Including currently allocated funds and projecting from fiscal years 2019-2023, the projects and their total estimated costs include:

-- $17.3 million for a Customer Information System

-- GIS for water and power utilities, $10 million

-- Radio communication equipment upgrade and replacement, $8 million

-- DoIT Equipment Life Cycle Replacement, $7.6 million

-- City fiber network expansion, $7 million

-- Land Management System replacement, $4.9 million

-- Enterprise Content Management System, $2 million
