That included 807 purchase orders spread over 24 months, with the most orders in October 2017. That month included 54 orders, while September 2017 had 20 purchases, the fewest in those two years.
In all, 184 vendors contracted with the board.
The largest monetary portion of those orders came under statewide contracts — previously negotiated terms with vendors over a set period of time, which can be competitively bid — $3.8 billion. Separately, about $2.4 billion was through master agreements, contracts that are usually competitively bid by another department.
About $28.2 million was spent on IT goods over the two-year period; $53.9 million was spent on IT services over the two years; $6.3 billion was spent on telecoms.
FY 2016-17 had a $15.7 million spend toward IT goods, and $21.7 million on IT services. In the following fiscal year, the department spent about $43.7.9 million on goods and services -- $31.6 million on IT services, $12.2 million on IT goods.
