Palo Alto Networks has hired Dai Pritchard as a named account manager covering the state of California.
Pritchard was most recently a director with Microsoft’s California sales team for two and a half years, and before that, spent nearly 12 years with VMware in a number of roles focused on the California SLED market.
In a video post on LinkedIn, Pritchard discussed the disconnect between many organizations’ AI and security strategies as the technology becomes more prevalent.
“Legacy security frameworks were simply not built to handle that,” Pritchard said.
“Security is not a side conversation; it’s not something that happens after the fact. Security has to be the absolute foundation that every AI and data strategy is built upon,” she said.
Pritchard has also held roles with Plan B Limited, Vodafone, Verizon and Sprint Nextel. She holds a Bachelor of Science in mass communication from Florida State University.
