Deloitte Names Nisbet New Lead Partner for State

Deloitte has named a new Lead Client Services Partner for the State of California, overseeing consulting, advisory, audit and tax practices that the firm is performing for the state.

Josh Nisbet has been selected as Deloitte’s Lead Client Services Partner for the State of California, the company has announced. Nisbet succeeds Jason Salzetti, who served in this role for the past five years before accepting a new position leading Deloitte’s National Public Sector Consulting Core Government Sector.

In his new role, Nisbet will lead Deloitte’s consulting, advisory, audit and tax practices in partnership with the state across a broad portfolio of existing and upcoming engagements. Deloitte’s California team brings one of the most diverse sets of solutions offered by any partner to the state, spanning a portfolio of business strategy, technology modernization, risk management, human capital, customer experience and financial management.

Nisbet joined Deloitte in 2014, focusing on sales portfolio management in the West. He also leads Deloitte’s State of Arizona team. He has 20 years' experience working with the public sector, including with roles at IBM and CGI before joining Deloitte. Among his national roles, he serves as vice chair of both CompTIA and ITAPS’ National Public Sector Executive Advisory Councils. He also serves on several local youth welfare advocacy boards including the Foster Youth Education Fund (FYEF), the Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA), the El Dorado Hills Youth Basketball Association (EDHYB), and the Latino Sports Outreach (LSO). In his free time he serves as president of his church’s youth organization across the Folsom/El Dorado Hills area, coaches his daughter’s basketball team and sings in a rock band.
