Department Recruiting for Chief Technology Officer

The state Department of Health Care Services is recruiting for a new Chief Technology Officer for the Enterprise Innovation Technology Services Division.

“The CTO will be responsible for ensuring that the Information Technology (IT) support needs of all departmental programs are met efficiently and effectively. The CTO will also provide technology support for project-related work, as it relates to the California Medicaid Management Information System (CA-MMIS) modernization and the Medi-Cal Eligibility Data System Modernization (MEDS MOD). The CTO will oversee IT services and operational functions of the Enterprise Services Branch, Information Security Office, Infrastructure Services Branch, Enterprise Change and Configuration Management Branch, Application Support Branch, and several federated IT organizations within DHCS.”

In addition, "the CTO will advise the CIO and executive staff on the pros and cons of emerging technologies and examine their costs and benefits to the Department in terms of Return on Investments (ROI). The CTO works closely with the Program Management Officer as well as state and federal control agencies to assure that adequate resources are allocated to meet departmental and IT needs."

The application period closes Friday. The position has a salary range of $115,500 to $137,580 per year.
