The Department of State Hospitals (DSH) is seeking an organizational change manager (IT Manager I) to work in a hybrid telework role related to the Electronic Health Record (EHR) Project. The incumbent will oversee IT project management including communications, planning, portfolio management, process engineering/re-engineering, scope and management of stakeholder relations and time and schedules, the job posting says.

In addition, the manager “will oversee the development, maintenance and monitoring of standardized methods and procedures for the efficient and prompt handling of all organizational changes in order to minimize the impact of change” upon DSH service quality.

Desirable qualifications include:
  • Certified in change management, experience in supporting a multilocation organization and experience in executing change management methodology
  • Five years of experience managing a team of technology professionals
  • Strong working knowledge of EHR solutions, agile and waterfall methodologies and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) practices
  • Extensive experience working with teams of business and technology staff
  • Experience as a direct leader and the ability to provide coaching, mentoring, goal setting and overall performance management for staff

The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) is recruiting for an enterprise network architect (IT Specialist II) to advance the department’s mission and strategic plan by “creating innovative solutions, strengthening partnerships and collaborations and embracing technology.”

The architect supports complex enterprise network environments including firewalls, switches, load balancers, wireless access points, wireless controllers, network access control and network monitoring tools. Additional duties of the position, according to the job posting, include:
  • Serve as lead on complex network infrastructure projects
  • Provide networking expertise to technical staff and consultants who are working on the CDPH network infrastructure
  • Administer all aspects of data center network infrastructure administration at CDPH data centers and cloud environments, and collaborate with the Server Operations Services Section team for network-related support for the Data Center Operations and Services Branch
  • Consult with and guide IT and program staff for all network infrastructure workloads, including technical requirements development; building and deploying network systems; monitoring, tuning and troubleshooting the network infrastructure for optimal performance and system availability

The Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) is seeking a business analysis/quality assurance lead (IT Specialist II) to serve as a subject matter expert for the installation and configuration of software upgrades, provide solutions and recommendations, communicate with customers and management and to mentor and train subordinate staff.

The job posting says candidates “must possess a high level of knowledge and skill in the areas of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Development Life Cycle (STLC)” and be able to work independently or on a team, and to serve as a lead to coordinate and implement activities related to enhancement and modification of application systems and software upgrades.
