The Department of General Services has soft launched a new Web app that lists and maps training and outreach events for Small Business and Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises.
According to a description on the California Mobile Gallery, the app provides a listing of evens by region, maps the events locations, shows events nearest the user, gives contact and registration information for the events. DGS plans to add new content and events as time goes on.
For example, users in the Sacramento area will see the Small Business Administration’s California Small Business Day is June 10 at the Sacramento Convention Center.
The app was co-developed by DGS staff and programmers at the Department of Technology. To install the app, go to http://apps.cta.ca.gov/EMC/SBDVBE
