The Employment Development Department (EDD) is seeking a chief for the Infrastructure Services Division, and the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration (CDTFA) is seeking a bureau chief for the Centralized Revenue Opportunity System (CROS). Chief, Infrastructure Services Division
$11,778 to $14,032 per month

The chief will be responsible for “developing, maintaining, supporting and optimizing multiple critical and highly complex information technology (IT) disciplines, particularly network infrastructure, server infrastructure, data communications, telecommunications and enterprise systems both private cloud and public cloud environments,” the job posting says. “As a member of EDD’s Executive Staff and the ITB Executive Team, the incumbent provides critical and sensitive recommendations to the CIO and other EDD senior managers, including policy development on the direction and effective application of IT to meet EDD’s business goals and objectives. This position has extensive decision-making authority and directs the most critical and complex projects related to infrastructure initiatives.”

Bureau Chief, Centralized Revenue Opportunity System

“The incumbent collaborates with California Department of Tax and Fee Administration (CDTFA) leadership to develop the department’s strategic vision into actionable objectives and measurable outcomes,” the job posting says. “The incumbent ensures that CROS aligns with CDTFA’s business vision, goals, policies and procedures as outlined in business requirements while maintaining compliance with CDTFA policies, standards and strategic direction.”
In addition, the chief represents CDTFA on all CROS-related matters, working with the California Department of Technology, the Department of Finance, state control agencies, the Legislature, advocacy groups, constituents and statewide organizations.
