Granicus Names Veteran Tech Exec Anderson to Enterprise Account Role for State Government

“Granicus hired Bill for this role to support California state agencies, drawing on his extensive experience in the public sector, particularly within California,” said Julie Lewis, the company’s national sales director.

Technology sales veteran Bill Anderson has been named enterprise account executive for California state government by Granicus, which offers cloud-based solutions for communications, government website design, meeting and agenda management, records management and digitizing services.

Anderson, a Folsom resident with about 20 years’ experience as a sales executive, said he’s passionate about “making a lasting impact on important government use cases that benefit Californians.”

“My top priority is to help improve efficiency across California state agencies and departments so fellow citizens can get what they need quickly and easily,” Anderson told Industry Insider — California via email. “My goal is to be a trusted adviser to state employees that are entrusted with priority initiatives to improve citizen engagement.”

Before joining Granicus, Anderson had held sales executive positions with Atcomm Corp., Fujitsu, NetVersant, Altura Communications Solutions, Genesys, and Calabrio Inc.

“Week four of on-board training at Granicus and I'm really enjoying the company culture, the solution set, the partners, the use cases, and the people,” Anderson posted on LinkedIn last week.

His experience and relationships with state government departments was what Granicus sought, said Julie Lewis, the company’s national sales director. She had been the state enterprise account executive for Granicus before being promoted to her current role in June.

“Granicus hired Bill for this role to support California state agencies, drawing on his extensive experience in the public sector, particularly within California,” Lewis told Industry Insider via email. “His expertise will be a valuable asset not only to Granicus but also to the leadership and residents of California.”

Off the job, Anderson stays active by playing basketball, swimming, and coaching youth sports in Folsom. He is a graduate of California State University, Chico, with a bachelor’s degree in social studies — psychology and economics.
