The California Department of Parks and Recreation (CDPR) spent $5,779,656 on its five largest purchases. Here, with rounding, is where that money went, based on data in the State Contracting and Procurement Registration System:
- $1.6 million to Motorola Solutions Inc. for “S0856109 NORCOM Equipment.” That may refer to the purchase of radio or wireless data equipment via NorcomCT, formerly Northeastern Communications. CDPR made the purchase May 14.
- $1.3 million with Motorola Solutions for “S0856114 APX8000 All Band Portable Model 3.5,” potentially a reference to the company’s APX 8000 All-Band public safety portable radios. CDPR made the purchase May 17.
- $1 million with NWN Corp. for “LIC-MV-5YR Meraki MV Enterprise License and Support, 5YR,” probably a reference to enterprise-level licensing and support for Cisco’s family of Meraki cameras. CDPR made the purchase Feb. 8.
- $920,000 with PC Specialists Inc. for what appears to be the purchase of Dell Latitude 5420 business laptop computers with 16GB of memory, Microsoft Windows software and three-year warranties. CDPR made the purchase April 27.
- $881,000 with Visionary Integration Professionals LLC for “S21073003 – MK43-RMS-001 Mark 43 RMS Annual Subscription.” That likely refers to the company’s Mark 43 Record Management System for public sector and public safety. CDPR made the purchase July 27.
