The California Department of Technology spent $5,910,304 last month on its four purchases of IT services. Here, with rounding, is where that money went, based on data in the State Contracting and Procurement Registration System:
- $4.9 million to the California Military Department (CMD) – for “IAA CMD for ISA.” That’s probably a reference to CMD’s Information Awareness and Assessment (IAA) team and to the Independent Security Assessments (ISA) of state agencies, departments and offices that CMD performs on behalf of CDT. CDT made the purchase July 1 with a one-year contract ending June 30, 2022.
- $536,000 to Sacramento-based Veteran Enhanced Technology Solutions for “Snowflake Custom Services – Resident Solutions Architect.” This, too, is a one-year contract from July 6 to July 5, 2022.
- $250,000 to Elk Grove-based SyTech Solutions Inc. for “content management initiative consulting services.” This is a one-year contract from July 1 to June 30, 2022.
- $224,000 to Allied Network Solutions Inc. for “Ciena: 6500 comprehensive support,” most likely support for its 6500-series family of packet-optical platforms. This is a one-year contract from July 27 to July 26, 2022.
