The California Department of Managed Health Care is recruiting for a Business Intelligence Division chief, a position that carries an IT Manager I job classification, and the deadline is a week away. Applications are due Sept. 17.
"Under the general direction of the Chief Information Officer (CIO), Office of Technology and Innovation (OTI), the incumbent is responsible leading the Business Intelligence Division responsible for planning, organizing, controlling, and managing Business Intelligence initiatives and solutions for the DMHC," says the posting, which was dated today. "This includes Master Data Management, Data Governance, data integration, analytics, and enterprise reporting.
"The Business Intelligence Manager utilizes existing technologies to formulate and execute both tactical and strategic Business Intelligence Strategies leveraging MarkLogic Data Integration Platform, SQL Server Reporting Services, SQL Server Integration Services, SQL Server Analysis Services, and Tableau as well as identifying new technologies to ensure success. The IT Manager I (BID) will assist the CIO in identifying and selecting strategic Business Intelligence tools and technologies to support the Strategic Goals and Objectives of the DMHC, in the role of recommender."
The desirable qualifications include:
-- Experience in business intelligence, data analytics or management information systems;
-- Contract management experience;
-- Experience with establishing policies, procedures, workflows, standards and business process improvement;
-- Administrative experience in budget and personnel management;
-- Experience developing and documenting standards; and
-- Team leadership and staff development experience. Strong customer services skills working collaboratively with internal and external customers and leaders.
The position has an annual salary range of $85,104 to $114,048. The CIO for the department is Ralph Cesena.
