The California Department of General Services (DGS) has released an RFP to pre-qualified agile vendors for a pool of infrastructure-as-a-service and platform-as-a-service providers with moderate FedRAMP standards.
Being in the pool will allow vendors to bid on future contracts for either service, shortening the timeline between release of a request and a contract award.
The California Department of Technology (CDT) has been creating similar vendor pools for other services.
DGS and the CDT began the effort to build agile vendor pools in December 2016.
In June 2017, vendors with high FedRAMP standards were contracted for a similar pool.
The new vendor pool will include contracts that extend until June 2020, with up to three one-year extensions.
The final date to submit is March 20, and vendors can expect awards in June.
