Microsoft Names California State, Local Affairs Director

Industry titan Microsoft has named Jessy Borges as its California director for state and local government affairs. Borges’ lengthy resume includes time at several other large organizations.

Borges was most recently in the same role with software company Synopsys Inc., and before that held a government relations role with aerospace giant Lockheed Martin.

“I’m energized by the opportunity ahead at Microsoft and inspired by the company’s leadership in shaping the future of technology,” Borges wrote in a post on LinkedIn. “I look forward to building impactful partnerships and advancing innovative, collaborative solutions in this new role.”

Borges’ resume also includes time with Silicon Valley Leadership Group, Pacific Gas and Electric, and Bloom Energy.

Borges holds a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy and political science from California State University, Northridge.
