If you are a state IT professional and want to develop leadership skills in strategic planning, networking, collaborative management, IT procurement, contracting, vendor management and more, the Information Technology Leadership Academy (ITLA) wants you.
ITLA is a nine-month program focused on developing and extending leadership skills. Training includes classroom sessions, group discussions, expert speakers, and real-life scenarios in which managers address real world problems with realistic solutions.
“The largest problems we run in to are not technology issues.” said California CIO Carlos Ramos in a presentation last fall. “They are governance, they are decision-making … The reason we are putting you through this,” he said to ITLA 21 class members, “is we need a pool of people we can rely on.”
ITLA 22 class is forming and candidates have until July 15 to apply. For more information and to download the application, follow this link: http://www.cio.ca.gov/opd/itla/
