Oct. 28 Forum in Sacramento Will Showcase Mobile Computing

Hundreds of technologists from state and local government and the private sector are expected for the third-annual event at the Hyatt Regency downtown.

Hundreds of technologists from state and local government and the private sector are expected at the third-annual Mobile Government Forum on Oct. 28 at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Sacramento.

The event, Mobile Government 2014 – Anywhere, Anytime, Any Device, will include more than a dozen educational sessions, in addition to demonstrations and a mobile showcase featuring 10 government entities demonstrating mobile solutions that they have created.

The two keynote speakers are of Bruce Orcutt, senior director of product marketing for Kofax, Ltd; and Sanjay Poonen, executive vice president and general manager of end-user computing for VMware.

Sessions topics include: improving citizen service through mobility, mobile content, the user experience, enterprise transformation, mobile security, and more.

Scheduled presenters include Rajiv Desai, CEO of 3Di, Inc.; Michael Dixon, general manager of IBM Smarter Cities; Paul Pedron, supervisor of technical support for the city of Fresno; and several others.
