The Sacramento resident joined Pinnacle in April 2021 as a consultant partner, was promoted to senior consultant partner two years ago, and was named partner last month.

“When I joined Pinnacle in 2021, I was excited to leverage my many years of public- and private-sector expertise, experiences, and relationships for the good of our clients,” Bennett told Industry Insider — California in an email. “It’s been a great ride, and I get to work with a legendary team; notably, the best choice of my career! Now, as a partner, I get to share in the management and operation of the business — its successes and challenges — all to provide the best possible outcomes for our clients and the state of California. I’m excited to take on this new responsibility and look forward to further contributing to the growth and success of our firm.”

Rob Grossglauser, Pinnacle Advocacy’s founder, told Industry Insider why Bennett was promoted.

“Teri embodies Pinnacle Advocacy’s collaborative approach to advancing the interests of our clients and the values of our firm,” Grossglauser said via email. “I am honored to welcome Teri as a partner. Since joining Pinnacle Advocacy in 2021, Teri’s leadership, dedication and hard work have played a key role in the growth and success of Pinnacle. We are thrilled to cement her presence in the firm as we continue to do great things for our clients and California.”

After leaving state government, she opened tBenn Consulting, advising clients on business, technology and procurement strategies; organizational change management; and leadership/budget development. She specialized in the pension, prison and government sectors.

Bennett’s previous industry background includes five years in business development roles with Accenture.

She has a master’s certificate in IT project management from George Washington University, and her off-the-job activities have included leadership roles in numerous nonprofit and community organizations, including the Sacramento Theatre Company, Women in Technology International, Homeward Bound Golden Retriever Rescue & Sanctuary and WIND Youth Services.
