The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office (RCSO) has selected Veritone’s Redact software to streamline the redaction process associated with audio, images and video evidence.

This sort of redaction is necessary to protect the privacy of individuals that engage with sheriff's deputies. The software automatically identifies and redacts faces, license plates and other personally identifiable information collected through body and dashboard cameras, CCTV, interview footage and other forms of digital evidence.

“As the demand for transparency and timely evidence disclosure increases, Veritone Redact helps departments like RCSO to meet public expectations without compromising operational efficiency or privacy rights,” Veritone CEO Ryan Steelberg said in a press release.
