The webinar is being offered by Meeting of the Minds, a nonprofit that seeks to bring together urban sustainability and technology leaders to share knowledge and build lasting alliances. Meeting of the Minds has numerous high-profile corporate sponsors, including Microsoft and Deloitte.
Sacramento recently announced a $100 million partnership with Verizon to make Sacramento the first city in the country with commercially available 5G, which is described as providing "robust broadband infrastructure for a host of new smart city technologies and strategies to be deployed."
Sacramento has embarked on a range of initiatives involving technology including job growth, downtown revitalization, public art, entrepreneurship, marijuana delivery, and the largest downtown core redevelopment in the country (244 acres) at the Railyards on the riverfront.
