The California Department of Technology (CDT) and the Department of General Services (DGS) will present a Vendor Forum, an opportunity for the tech industry to hear from state procurement officials about upcoming needs.

The virtual Zoom event — the agenda for which has not yet been published — will run from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Dec. 4. A registration link is available online.

The forums generally begin with an overview of what the state would like from the vendor community, followed by a moderated question-and-answer period in which industry members can dig deeper on the types of services and goods being sought by the state.

The last CDT Vendor Forum, in June, focused on the state’s procurement guidelines for generative artificial intelligence. Speakers at that event included CDT’s Deputy Director of Statewide Technology Procurement Tiffany Angulo; Chief Enterprise Architect Renoir Pope; Chief Technology Officer Jonathan Porat; Chief Digital Strategy Officer Ivy Lei; Cybersecurity Risk and Governance Chief Payam Hojjat; and Department of General Services Procurement Division Deputy Director Angela Shell.
