Slalom Names Hahn Sales Manager for L.A. Public-Sector Agencies

“Having worked in government for so many years, it was great to find a company that is investing in this sector and finds value in partnering with government agencies to help them evolve with the changing needs of their residents,” Michelle Hahn told Industry Insider — California.

Longtime technology professional Michelle Hahn has been named Slalom’s sales manager for Los Angeles area public-sector agencies, managing local government business for the company.

Hahn’s role, according to her LinkedIn profile, is to leverage her network “to secure meetings with local government elected officials, staff and agency leadership,” and to “educate and inform Slalom practice partners about how to do business with government and their buying process.”

In an email to Industry Insider — California, Hahn explained why she joined Slalom.

"I’m excited to be at Slalom and join their Public and Social Impact team,” Hanh wrote. “Having worked in government for so many years, it was great to find a company that is investing in this sector and finds value in partnering with government agencies to help them evolve with the changing needs of their residents. Knowing how it works from the inside helps me be an effective partner with our government clients. Additionally, it’s a win-win when you find a company that has the same values as you.”

Hahn says her areas of expertise include political campaigns, software as a service (SaaS), contract negotiation, business development, lobbying, customer relationship management (CRM), working with elected officials, and Salesforce.

Hahn’s previous experience includes sales, management and strategy roles with companies including Salesforce, Amazon Business, Grainger and Playa Vista Capital. She’s also held leadership and executive roles with nonprofits including Computers for Youth, Students Run LA, the Bel-Air Association, the Los Angeles Police Foundation, the Office of the Mayor of Los Angeles, the office of Los Angeles City Councilmember Tom LaBonge, and the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power.

“We all want a better quality of life,” Hahn wrote, “and nothing gives me more pleasure than knowing I was a part of the change.”

Hahn earned her bachelor of science degree from Pepperdine University’s Graziadio Business School. Off the job, she is an active volunteer with Leadership California, where she is a board member and vice chair; and Free to Thrive, a human rights organization.
