Gilmore told Industry Insider — California via email that he is “dedicated to working closely with key decision-makers to advance initiatives aimed at fortifying the nation against digital threats and preparing the workforce for the challenges of the 21st century.”
Socure works with state and local governments across the nation and has more than 1,400 customers across the financial services, government, gaming, health-care, telecom and e-commerce industries.
“I’m ready to get after it!” Gilmore said. “Those who know me understand my strong track record in generating high demand and building robust pipelines. I’m excited to develop and execute a go-to-market strategy that will unite our partners, drive demand and enhance our thought leadership in the public sector.”
Socure was in the news recently with the appointment of tech veteran Jeff Schultz to the role of chief technology officer. Matt Thompson is Socure’s senior vice president and general manager for the public sector.
Gilmore said that in addition to his enthusiasm for his new role, he follows his “core values of faith, family and collaboration” as the founder of the Ready Rock Institute of Technology, a nonprofit organization committed to “creating opportunities for underprivileged youth through STEM education.”
He added: “This initiative focuses on fostering diversity, bridging income and wealth gaps and lifting communities out of poverty.”
Gilmore is a veteran of marketing, having previously held roles with DLT Solutions, BeyondTrust, Blue Prism and Alteryx before being named to his role with Socure last month.
He is an alumnus of Ashland University and attended University of the Pacific. He’s active in the Washington, D.C., chapter of the American Marketing Association, according to his LinkedIn profile.
