The California High-Speed Rail Authority is seeking an IT operations manager (IT Manager I) to lead Infrastructure Operations, consisting of Platform Services and Network Operations and Administration.
“The incumbent is responsible for the services and infrastructure that enable the delivery of systems and applications that enable the business operations of the authority,” the job posting says. Desirable qualifications include:

The California Health and Human Services’ (CalHHS) Office of Technology and Solutions Integration (OTSI) is recruiting for a senior IT procurement and contract analyst (IT Specialist II) to work independently as a subject matter expert and specialist, providing consultation to CalHHS departments for complex IT acquisitions and contract management.
OTSI “provides project management, oversight, procurement, and support services for a multi-billion-dollar portfolio of high-criticality projects,” the job posting notes.
“The analyst advises on and leads procurement-related activities, working directly with the agency procurement officer, executive management, and project teams,” according to the duty statement. “The incumbent must possess expert knowledge in state IT acquisition methods (LPA, formal, informal, non-competitive, etc.) and contract management.”
Desirable qualifications include mastery of the state’s procurement discipline and:
- In-depth knowledge of state IT and non-IT laws, regulations, policies and procedures
- Extensive knowledge, expertise and experience in leading and/or conducting competitive and leveraged procurements, and extensive knowledge and experience in contract and vendor management

Also of interest to procurement professionals is a recruitment by the California Department of Technology (CDT) for a senior procurement officer (IT Supervisor II) to serve “as an integral member of the Acquisition and IT Program Management Branch (APMB),” interacting with the Middle-Mile Broadband Initiative (MMBI) business team and exercising responsibility for the management of complex acquisitions related to non-delegated broadband, IT and telecommunications projects.
