Todd Boltjes is serving as interim CIO for the State Controller’s Office as a permanent replacement for Jan Ross is recruited.
Boltjes has been serving as assistant CIO and Business Systems Bureau Chief, and has been with the Controller’s Office for more than seven years.
He won a 2012 CIO Academy Award from State CIO Carlos Ramos in 2012.
Ross left the Controller’s Office earlier this month to become the IT chief for State Treasurer for John Chiang, who previously was the Controller.
Ross oversaw the implementation of more than 24 independent IT initiatives, including government transparency websites: PublicPay.ca.gov, TrackProp30.ca.gov, and ByTheNumbers.sco.ca.gov. She previously was with the Franchise Tax Board for 11 years.
