The California High-Speed Rail Authority is seeking a chief information security officer (IT Manager II) to be responsible for its Information Security program, including the direction, oversight and operations of the IT Security Office and Privacy program.

In addition, according to the job posting, the CISO is responsible for establishing and overseeing the Operational Technology (OT) Cybersecurity Program for high-speed rail operations.   • Responsible for planning, executing, and completing projects on time and within budget while ensuring that they meet the required level of quality.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies while ensuring project outcomes align with business objectives.

The California Department of Technology (CDT) is seeking an e-commerce support manager (IT Manager I) to manage and direct the staff in the eCommerce Application Support section, which is responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance and problem resolution of e-commerce applications and identity management platforms at CDT, including Cloud Service offerings, for state and public entity customers, as well as application and communication software.

Desirable qualifications, according to the job posting, include:

According to the job posting, the incumbent “optimizes and applies architecture solutions for the benefit of the overall organization, and plays a major role in advising management and formulating information technology strategies within the organization, with a strong focus on DevOps principles.”

  • Experience modeling and baselining site reliability configuration items and implementing high availability for cloud applications and data.
  • Experience implementing database backup and restore in highly scalable infrastructure.
