IT-related employees of the state of California can train and network at a Public Sector User Group meeting on Wednesday.
While the meeting is focused on Salesforce tools, it will highlight the general benefits of cloud for the public sector and offer a roundtable discussion about topics attendees suggest. Attendees can also talk with employees from other state agencies during the networking lunch.
Several other private-sector vendors, such as Microsoft and ServiceNow, have begun hosting similar groups.
Salesforce has begun providing several tools for the public sector at all levels, including scalable cloud solutions and a customer relationship management system. The local Salesforce Public Sector team will also be there.
