The Employment Development Department (EDD) is seeking a lead data engineer (IT Specialist II) to work in the Business Intelligence Data Warehousing Group. The engineer will work on the development and maintenance of scalable data pipelines; build out new API integrations; develop data strategies, data analysis and research in the use of data warehousing tools; establish BI standards and practices; and define an appropriate API governance framework.
The incumbent will work on the EDDNext project, representing the interests of EDD’s program customers, department goals, and IT Branch directives in developing new BI capabilities. The goal is cost savings, improved analytical decision-making and faster response times for external and internal information requests.
