The state has issued a Pre-Solicitation Request for Proposal (RFP) for System Development, Maintenance and Operations (SDMO) services for a state health insurance program.
The state Office of Systems Integration (OSI), part of the California Health and Human Services Agency, is coordinating the pre-RFP and will issue the RFP on behalf of the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) and Covered California for ongoing support of the California Healthcare Eligibility, Enrollment and Retention System (CalHEERS).
“The purpose of this Pre-Solicitation RFP is to engage in a collaborative process by obtaining comments from interested vendors regarding the contents of the Pre-Solicitation RFP #32323,” says a news release from OSI. “The State will not respond to the vendors directly, but plans to utilize the information gathered from the comments to further develop and refine the future RFP.”
The pre-RFP was issued March 29.
In preparation for the RFP, OSI will hold a Pre-Solicitation Conference for interested vendors at 1:30 p.m. on April 18 at the California Health Benefit Exchange, 1601 Exposition Blvd., Sacramento. Attendance is not required. Any comments are due by April 20.
