Public-sector CIOs from across all levels of California government will be gathering in Sacramento for the upcoming California Public Sector CIO Academy* later this month.

The two-day, invitation-only event, hosted at the SAFE Credit Union Convention Center April 14-15, serves as an opportunity for current and aspiring IT leaders to share ideas and strategies with their peers.

“In today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape, investing in leadership development isn’t optional — it’s essential,” state CIO Liana Bailey-Crimmins said of the event. “Attending the California Public Sector CIO Academy is an opportunity to engage with forward-thinking leaders, develop your leadership skills and strengthen the collaboration essential for driving our state’s digital transformation.”

This year’s event will feature experts from across the IT industry and state and local government, including Office of Data and Innovation Director Jeffery Marino, Department of Human Resources (CalHR) CIO Enrique Parker, and California State Transportation Agency Information Officer Marcie Kahbody, to name a few.
