Here are several state contracts with RFP closure dates in December.

The California Department of Technology is seeking a vendor for a software renewal project.

The project’s RFP is due Dec. 7.

The department needs a renewal of IBM Passport Advantage Software. The contract will work as a collective bargaining effort so CDT can provide IBM services to other state entities while maintaining efficiency and cost effectiveness.

The contract should last one year, with an estimated start date of Jan. 1, 2018.

The Department of Transportation is working on a project for paper utility invoice automation.

The department is looking for a solution for data capture from handwritten or machine-made documents.

The system will scan and index paper utility invoices in a non-cloud-based system. The system will allow for addition, modification and deletion of invoices. Organizing, searching and exporting data to Excel is also a requirement.

Responses are due to the RFI on Dec. 20.

The Franchise Tax Board is seeking a solution for User Behavior Analysis.

The RFI is for a system that helps discover threats in real time, in order to respond, mitigate and prevent attacks that would impact either the network or the FTB’s data.

The new system would have to integrate with the current Security Information and Event Management system.

The RFI is due Dec. 4.

The California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services needs a vendor to provide an emergency services network.

The network must cover all organizations involved in emergency response, including tribes and first responders. The network would also cover public safety infrastructure and need to be deployed to all areas of the state within 10 years, including unserved areas.

The RFP response is due Dec. 6.
