“Data Con LA began as Big Data Day LA in 2013, with just over 250 attendees,” the organizers said. The event grew to more than 550 attendees in 2014 and, by 2018, the event was rebranded to Data Con LA. In 2019, the event drew more than 2,000 attendees, and for its first virtual event in 2020, more than 1,000 people attended. Last year’s event featured more than 100 speakers and 100 sessions.
The event will feature a Startup Showcase, where small startups can pitch their goods and services to venture capitalists and creative experts. In all, sessions are planned in the areas of data, machine learning, business intelligence, user experience, infrastructure security, data privacy and other topics. Tutorials and a hackathon are also on the agenda.
Information about the event, as well as a detailed agenda and registration link, are available on the Data Con LA website.
