Virginia Williams has been hired by CGI as vice president of consulting services, leading the firm’s health and human services practice with the state of California account.
Williams spent more than 25 years with IBM, primarily working on solution development and large IT system engagements for California government. She oversaw the financial and service delivery responsibilities of IBM’s largest portfolio of projects in the State of California, including several high-profile human services engagements. Among her projects were California’s Medicaid Management Information System and CalCloud.
“I first worked with CGI as a partner on the State of California child support project more than a decade ago. I came to have the utmost respect for the high caliber of professionals at CGI and their client-first mentality and commitment to excellence,” said Williams in an email. “Joining the CGI team is an exciting next step in my career and a great opportunity to continue to serve the state."
