Tresh has served as the chief information officer of the Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (OES) for over a year. Before that, Tresh served as CIO for the state’s High-Speed Rail Authority.
Beginning his public-sector career early, Tresh attended the U.S. Army War College and the University of Phoenix for his two master’s degrees. He then spent more than 15 years working in telecommunications and IT for the California National Guard.
Tresh has focused on team management, strategic and fiscally responsible decision-making and plan implementation in many of his positions, which made him a natural choice for Gov. Jerry Brown’s appointment as the California Department of Technology's chief information security officer in 2011.
