If there’s one constant in the tech space, it’s change. That applies to Techwire too, as the publication has a new managing editor beginning this week.
Dennis Noone is an award-winning journalist with more than 30 years in the business, having been a reporter and editor for small-town newspapers as well as some of the biggest publications in the nation. He sees his new role with Techwire as a natural next step in an evolving industry.
“As readers have embraced new technology and new media, the field of journalism has had to adapt,” Noone said. “We’ve had to find new ways to bring information to our subscribers, even as the nature of that information and how it’s delivered have changed. It’s a huge challenge, and a fun one.”
Noone’s background includes various reporting and editing roles at publications including The Dallas Morning News and USA Today. With the latter, he was an editor in the Washington, D.C., bureau, overseeing coverage of the Senate and the House of Representatives.
“We’re excited to have Dennis join Techwire,” said Joseph Morris, Director of Market Intelligence for Techwire. “He brings a wealth of experience covering both the California and government markets, and has a real passion for the pace of a daily news publication.”
Noone succeeds Matt Williams, who spent more than three years as managing editor of Techwire, one of Folsom, Calif.-based e.Republic’s portfolio of award-winning targeted publications.
