The awards, presented by Public CIO magazine, will recognize individuals in California government organizations for their outstanding contributions, best practices and works of distinction. Awards submissions should be made here.
The awards ceremony will be held Feb. 28 at the Sacramento Sheraton Grand. The submissions deadline is midnight Jan. 12.
Awards are presented in the following categories:
- The California CIO Academy IT Leadership Award
- California Public CIO of the Year, given to the CIO who demonstrates vision and leadership;
- California Public CTO of the Year, given to the CTO who demonstrates vision and
Criteria are for a public-sector chief information officer and chief technology officer who exemplifies the following attributes:
- Demonstrates outstanding leadership;
- Develops future IT leaders;
- Develops innovative solutions to help your organization achieve its goals;
- Creates an outstanding technology organization; and
- Creates strategies to promote information sharing and collaboration among government organizations.
You may edit your nomination at any time up to the closing date (1/12/18) by logging in to Nominations page and clicking on your entry title under the "Nominations" tab. Be sure to hit "Save Nomination" before exiting. Retain your document for your records.
