The GovTech 100 is an annual list compiled and published by Government Technology* as a compendium of 100 companies focused on, making a difference in, and selling to state and local government agencies across the United States. Of those 100 companies, 22 are based in California. They are:

Bludot: This Palo Alto-based company offers a cloud-based platform that helps city governments oversee and analyze the growth of local businesses.

City Innovate: The San Francisco-based company, which provides solutions to help modernize government through technology, is making its first appearance in the GovTech 100 for 2024.

CITYDATA.ai: The San Francisco-based company provides mobility intelligence and citizen apps for smart cities.

Esri: The Redlands-based company develops geographic information system software, location intelligence, and mapping.

Forerunner: The San Francisco-based company’s software empowers communities across the country to enhance resilience and decrease flood risk.

Hayden AI: The Oakland-based company delivers leading-edge technology that powers safer and smarter communities.

Lacuna Technologies: The Palo Alto-based company helps transportation agencies better manage the public right-of-way.
