Tracking the Spend: $5.2M for Fish and Wildlife’s 5 Biggest IT Buys in H1

The single biggest purchase by the California Department of Fish and Wildlife this year was for monitoring equipment. CDFW spent $2,481,242 with Integrated Surveillance in a Feb. 22 informal competitive contract.

The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) spent just more than $5.2 million on its five largest purchases of IT goods in the first half of this year.

CDFW, which is part of the California Natural Resources Agency, manages and protects the state’s wildlife, wildflowers, trees and native habitats. It was formerly known as the Department of Fish and Game.

From Jan. 1 through June 30, CDFW spent $5,272,669 on items classified as IT goods in the State Contract and Procurement Registration System. The department’s five largest buys were:
  • $2,481,242 with Integrated Surveillance for monitoring equipment, in a Feb. 22 informal competitive contract
  • $1,500,000 in an April 4 contract that runs through May 31, 2028, for SailPoint Identity Security BusinessPlus in a software licensing program (SLP) contract with Kovarus Inc.
  • $561,663 for monthly service charges for fleet management in a March 26 statewide contract with Geotab USA Inc.
  • $375,244 for “CIS Suite Datacenter Core ALng SA 2L” in a May 14 SLP contract with Software One Inc. that runs through Sept. 30, 2027
  • $354,520 for Microsoft Unified Enterprise Support in a May 21 SLP contract with Softchoice Corp.
