Tracking the Spend: Emergency Office’s Top IT Services Purchases in January

The California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services’ five largest transactions for IT services in January together landed in the low eight figures combined.

The California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES) made seven such purchases and spent $15,451,954 on the five most expensive — most of that on one purchase. Here’s more information, with rounding, on what the office spent:

  • $13.5 million with NGA 911 covering “FY22,” aka the 2022 fiscal year. Next Generation Advanced 911, per its website, offers complete and customizable next-gen, cloud-based 911 solutions globally. This is a two-year contract from Jan. 1-Dec. 31, 2025.
  • $1 million with UC San Diego for “IT services,” potentially proprietary software around fire protection and prevention. This is a one-year contract from Jan. 1-Dec. 31.
  • $775,000 with Dajani Consulting for IT consulting services. This is a roughly 11-month contract from Jan. 11-Dec. 14.
  • $168,000 with Solutions Simplified for educational support including training and workshops. This is a one-year contract from Jan. 3-Jan. 2, 2024.
  • $29,000 with ARINC for a 12-month subscription to the UrgentLink disaster communications network. Cal OES made the purchase Jan. 17.
