Tracking the Spend: OSI’s Five Largest Buys of IT Services in Q4

The five largest contracts were for services related to project management, subject matter experts in the processing of financial transactions, and consulting and licensing fees.

The Office of Systems Integration (OSI), part of the California Health and Human Services Agency (CHHS), spent just over $9.5 million in its five largest purchases of IT services in the fourth quarter of 2022.

The five largest contracts, together valued at $9,506,690 with rounding, were for services related to project management, subject matter experts in the processing of financial transactions, and consulting and licensing fees. The data is from the State Contracting and Procurement Registration System.

OSI was in the news recently when it announced a proposed name change to the Office of Technology and Solutions Integration, reflecting its larger mission. (The changes were explained in an Industry Insider California commentary by Adam Dondro, the agency information officer for CHHS and the director of OSI.)

OSI’s top five purchases of IT services from Oct. 1 through Dec. 31 were as follows:
  • $5 million for business management, project management and IT consulting services in a Dec. 30 contract with Propoint Technology Inc. that runs through Dec. 29, 2026. It was awarded under the state’s IT Master Service Agreement (MSA).
  • $1,653,120 for project management support services with Oak Technical Services, in a Dec. 13 IT MSA contract that runs through Dec. 12, 2025.
  • $1,488,000 for “subject matter expert services” in financial transaction processing, in an Oct. 21 MSA award to AgreeYa Solutions Inc. The contract runs though Oct. 20, 2027.
  • $814,320 for liaison services from First Data Government Solutions Inc. in a competitive contract that runs from Nov. 2 through Nov. 1, 2025.
  • $551,250 for “business function specific software” from HF Tech Services Inc., in a cooperative agreement award that runs from Nov. 7 through Nov. 14, 2024.
